Oil and frying fat

Don't wash down cooking fat in the drain - it will clog the pipes. Recycle it instead!

When oil, grease or frying fat is washed down the drain it will cool down and get stuck, and therefore clog the pipes. Instead, when the oil has cooled down, collect it in a clear plastic bottle by pouring it through a funnel. Bring it to the recycling central when full. If it's a small amount of oil, wipe it off with a paper towel and place it in the food waste.
